Chapel Blog September, 2014

During September, we will dive into the Scripture found in Ephesians 2:10.”For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This month’s theme focuses in on the fact that God created us to be creative and He wants us to use our creativity to glorify Him!

Below is a snapshot as to what your child will learn during this month:

Creativity:  Using your imagination to do something unique.

September 2 – Bible Story:  Creation (Genesis 1:1-2:1)

Bottom Line:  You were created, so you can be creative.

September 9 – Bible Story:  Moses & Miriam (Exodus 1:22-2:10)

Bottom Line:  Use your imagination to think big.

September 16 – Bible Story:  David’s final words (2 Samuel 23:1-2)

Bottom Line:  Use your imagination to make your mark.

September 23 – Bible Story:  Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:14-16)

Bottom Line:  Use your imagination to do even better things.

September 30 – Bible Story:  Believers share life together (Acts 2:42-47)

Bottom Line:  Imagine what could happen if everyone used their gifts together.

This month, remind your children that they are unique – there is no one else in the whole world like them!  And because of that, God created them for a purpose.  In today’s society, it is easy to settle for the “status quo.”  As parents, we need to challenge our children to use their creativity (gifts and talents) to the best of their ability.  God has a plan for them, and we are thankful that we can partner with you as this plan unfolds.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
