Super Scientist Laila showed us how to make water glow in the dark! She poured tonic water in three containers. She then took the inside of a yellow, pink, and blue highlighter pen and put one in each of the three containers. She then took the students in the closet where it was dark and held each container up next to a black light. The water glowed in the dark! It was so neat! The tonic water and the highlighter ink contain phosphors that turn ultra light (light we can’t see) into visible light (light we can see). This was fascinating to all of us! Great job, Laila!
